Wearing of Jewellery to School

Reminder from Mrs Robinson

Wearing of Jewellery to School

Dear Parents

We are getting an increasing number of problems with the wearing of earrings and other jewellery to school. Please can I remind parents our rules state that children are only permitted to wear a watch (not a 'Smart' watch) and one pair of small stud earrings. No other jewellery should be worn at all. Earrings should not be worn to school at all on days when PE is taking place. If they have only just had their ears pierced and need to keep their earrings in, they must come to school wearing medical tape to cover the earrings on PE days. As soon as they are able to take the earrings out, they should not be wearing them at all on PE days. Watches must be removed for PE, so it may be safer for the watch to be left at home on PE days also.

These rules are in place for health and safety reasons. I would appreciate the support of all parents with this matter.

Kind regards
