Eco-school News September 2022
Mrs Dunn spoke to the whole school in assembly and invited anyone interested in joining our new Eco Committee to come to the first meeting in September. Some of our applicants have already come up with exciting ideas for future projects!
34 very enthusiastic pupils came to our First Eco Club meeting on 20th September. After an introduction to Eco Club and the Eco.Schools.org programme, we did a Scavenger Hunt in the school grounds - here are some photos.
24 pupils attended the Eco Club meeting on 27th September when we discussed Havant Big Green Week which Bosmere has supported by:
- Submitting our 12 giant collages of endangered animals which we created during Book Week in March 2022. During Havant Big green Week they were displayed in the Meridian Shopping Centre in Havant. Click here to see some photos.
- One of our pupils, Samantha in 4S (who is also in Eco Club) won the primary age competition with her artwork on the HBGW theme of 'Your Carbon Footprint'. Her artwork showed footprints - her own, her mum's and other family members' - created using plastic milk bottle tops. Click here for a photo.
- Aiming to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in our lunch boxes which we promoted in assembly and in a Parentmail message.
